It is a very sad news that a medical aspirant Anitha who had scored 1176/1200 marks in the 12th std. exam this year, committed suicide on the last Friday i.e. on the 1st Sept., because she could not clear the NEET exam., and hence didn't get admission in MBBS. Our sympathy is with her.
At this stage, as a parent and a person connected with coaching of different subjects, I would like to advise that:
1) No student/human being should commit suicide in case of any failure in life at any stage. Never surrender to such types of failures.
2) Everybody should accept this failure as a challenge and try very hard sincerely to achieve it.
3) As far as this particular case is concerned, I would like to comment/advise neutrally that:
a) If someone fails in such a Competitive Exam, even after scoring 98% in the 12th std. exam; it is very much clear that there is something wrong in our system of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education. We all should and must look into it and revise the system such that no aspirant of any branch fails in such Competitive/Entrance exams held anywhere in the world.
b) Instead of blaming others, we should and must try sincerely for the amendments in the system on war basis i.e. immediately.
c) NEET is a exam conducted for the students of Whole India, and not for any specific state/s. I fully agree with the verdict of the Supreme Court. No state must be allowed any exemption as far as such exams are concerned. And this is for the betterment of our People and the Nation.
d) No political party must be allowed to interfere in such cases by the people affected.
e) Media must not mention/comment on any student's caste category, i.e. whether she/he is a SC/ST/ OBC/General.
f) We all should gear up our efforts sincerely so that no student/any aspirant/any human being commits suicide in case of any failure in life.
I AM VERY MUCH INTERESTED TO START THIS TYPE OF ACTIVITY ALL OVER INDIA AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE. I WANT TO MAKE A TEAM OF SUCH PEOPLE OF ALL AGES WHO ARE INTERESTED TO DO CHARITY WORK, FULLY OR PARTLY AND THOSE ALSO, WHO CAN CONTRIBUTE AS FAR AS FINANCIAL NEED IS CONCERNED.
